WATERVILLE — Waterville Elks Lodge 905 will host the Emergency Service Personnel Appreciation Dinner and Awards night Oct. 26 in the lodge banquet room on Industrial Drive.

Organized by Barbara Currie, the event honors firefighters, police officers and emergency medical technicians from Waterville, Winslow, Oakland and Fairfield who are chosen by directors of each department as those who have excelled in their work.

Currie resurrected the event last year after it was discontinued more than 30 years ago.
