OAKLAND — Miss Leilani Elaine Jones and Mr. Jeremy Shea Grayson were united in marriage on Sunday, September 2, 2012, at 3 o’clock in the afternoon at Lake Shore Park Drive on Damariscotta Lake. The ceremony was officiated by Aidan Bouchard. Music for the ceremony was provided by Justin Jones and Mary Matteson. The bride’s family hosted a barbecue dinner and reception following the service.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles W. Jones of Oakland. She is the granddaughter of Nancy and the late Dennis Clement of Benton and Mrs. Elaine H. Jones of Camden. The groom is the son/stepson of Eugene and Maggie Grayson and the late Kathleen Shea Grayson of Wethersfield, Conn. He is the grandson of the late Kathleen and Jerome Shea of Hartford, Conn. and Lillian and the late George Grayson of Lexington, Mass.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a spaghetti strapped gown of satin. The gown featured silver sequins and beads and was complemented by a halo veil. The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of purple and white flowers.

Miss Sara Jordon of Winslow served as Maid of Honor. Mr. Jameson Stone of Vernon, Conn., served as Best Man.

The bride is a 2007 valedictorian graduate of Messalonskee High School in Oakland. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Connecticut with a Master of Arts in Education, and now teaches at Pomperaug High School in Southbury, Conn. The groom is a graduate of Wethersfield High School in Wethersfield, Conn. He is self-employed.

A honeymoon will follow in Florida. Leilani and Jeremy will reside in Naugatuck, Conn.
