WINTHROP — Winthrop High School has announced its top 10 seniors in the class of 2013.

Declan Chu, son of Sing and Alison Chu of Winthrop, is class valedictorian. Chu was a member of the Soccer Team and Tennis Team, serving as captain of both. He has been involved in Math Team, band, Drama Club and the Latin Club, of which he was named Parliamentarian. He is class treasurer, participated in the Youth in Government program and went to Boys State. Chu plans to attend Bates College to major in music education.

Randee Rebecca Boulay, daughter of Marc and Becky Boulay of Winthrop, is salutatorian. Boulay has been involved in the girls’ soccer team, Math Team, Maine Youth Voices, art club, Latin Club, high school band and participated in the Kennebec Valley Music Educators Association Music Festival. She plans to attend Wagner College in New York to major in psychology.

Deirdre Eileen Dosedlo is the daughter of Rick and Donna Dosedlo of Winthrop. She has been a member of the Latin Club and has worked as office aide. She has been a mentor to middle school students and volunteered in the community by participating in the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. She has volunteered in the Walk for Hope, The Theatre at Monmouth and also at Bear Haven Daycare. Dosedlo plans to attend the University of Maine at Farmington to major in special education.

Alexander James Ingram is the son of Steve and Kerrie Ingram of Winthrop. He has been a tri-sport athlete all four years of high school. He was a member of the football team, hockey team and lacrosse. He has been a volunteer with the Winthrop Youth and Middle School Football programs. He has been a member of the Latin Club and Maine Junior Classical League and the Math Team. Ingram plans to attend the University of Maine at Orono to major in chemical engineering.

Hunter Lansing Kilgore is the son of Donna DeBlois and Douglas Kilgore of Winthrop. He has been a member of the Latin Club and Math Team. He played basketball and was captain his senior year. He also participated in cross country and track. Kilgore was a founding member of Camp All Sports in Winthrop. He plans to attend Florida State University to major in civil engineering.

Heidi Nicole Lachance is the daughter of Steve Lachance of Manchester and Holly Bernier Lachance of Winthrop. She played tennis and ran track. She also was a member of the Key Club and Spanish Club. She was inducted into National Honor Society. Outside of the school, Lachance volunteers at the grade school and is also a volunteer soccer official. She will attend college to pursue a degree in clinical child psychology, with a minor in education.

Zachary James Nadeau is the son of Amie Nadeau of Lewiston and Jennifer Nadeau of Winthrop. Nadeau was a member of the track team and football team, serving as captain of both. In the community, he has helped with yard work, snow shoveling and splitting wood for those who need it. He has been a volunteer track coach for the summer recreation program in Winthrop. Nadeau plans to attend the University of Maine at Farmington to major in secondary education with a minor in coaching. He plans to become certified as a personal trainer.

Thomas Jacob Pietroski is the son of Joseph and Doris Pietroski of Winthrop. He has been a member of the boys’ soccer team and was named Defensive Player of the Year for Winthrop High School. He was also named to the Mountain Valley Conference All-Academic Team for soccer. Pietroski has been a member of the track team and ice hockey team. He is a member of the Latin Club and was elected vice president and is captain of the Math Team. He is in the National Honor Society and has participated in the Youth in Government program. Pietroski has been a volunteer junior camp counselor at Mechuwana. He has participated in the United Volunteers of Maine’s haunted house and the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. He has been a hockey referee for USA Hockey for the past six years. Pietroski plans to attend Lyndon State College to major in political science of history.

Jessica Anne Scott is the daughter of John and Khristine Scott of Winthrop. A tri-athlete, she has been a member of the field hockey and girls’ basketball and tennis teams, and captain of all three teams. She was elected class vice president and class president. She has been a member of the Student Council and has served as secretary of the National Honor Society. As a junior, Scott was a member of the Math Team. She has been a volunteer at the grade school. She will attend the University of Maine at Orono to major in elementary education.

Aaron Christopher St. Pierre is the son of Julien and Mona St. Pierre of Winthrop. A tri-athlete, he was a member of the boys’ soccer team and captain of both the Nordic ski team and tennis team. He has been a member of the Latin Club and the Drama Club. While a member of the Nordic ski team, St. Pierre also helped with the construction of a waxing shed/concession stand to be used by various teams of Winthrop High School. He also played guitar in a band that raised money for cancer research. St. Pierre plans to attend the University of Maine at Orono.
