KINGFIELD — Kingfield Festival Days events are scheduled for Friday through Sunday.

Friday’s events will feature an amateur photo contest and flower arrangement show from 9 a.m. to noon at the Herbert Hotel. Carnival games and children’s activities will take place from 3 to 5:30 p.m., under the tent, in the middle of town. A pork dinner is set for 4:30-6:30 p.m. in the parking lot of Grand Central Station. Proceed benefit the Flag Program in Kingfield. Live music is set for 7:45-10 p.m. under the tent. Happy Kingfield Days will feature free hot dogs and sodas while they last from 8 a.m. to noon.

Saturday’s events begin with kids’ parades, sponsored by Jordan Lumber and held in the parking lot, will take place from 9 to10:30 a.m. Prizes will be awarded. Horse drawn carriage rides will be available 9 a.m.-noon at the Grand Central parking lot. Pony rides and the petting zoo will be open 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at the town park. Mud football is planned for 10 a.m. on West Kingfield Road. Bounce house will be available 10 a.m.-4p.m. on Depot Street. The Grand Parade will begin at noon. The theme will be “Only in Maine”; Caricatures by James are set for 1-4 p.m. at the Schoolhouse Gallery. Caricatures cost $9. G-Force Laser Tag is set for 2-6 p.m. at the town park. Whatever Floats Your Boat parade starts at 3 p.m. t Lord’s Bridge. “So You Think You Can Dance will take place from 4 to 5:30 p.m., under the tent. The food vendors and artisan fair is open all day.

Sunday includes a 5k run/walk and a kids’ one-mile run will begin at Jordan Lumber’s parking lot. Participants can register at 7:30 a.m. The race will begin at 10 a.m. Mud football is set for 1-2 p.m. on West Kingfield Road. A skillet-throwing contest is set for 1-2 p.m. at Woodsman Restaurant. The Annual Kingfield Days Cook Off — Best Chowdah Recipe will begin at 2 p.m.
