MOUNT VERNON — The 30 Mile River Watershed Association will offer its fifth annual Paddle Trek on Saturday, July 27.

Paddlers are welcome to join in all or part of the 15-mile paddle from Mount Vernon Village to Wayne Village, traveling through many of the lakes that form the 30 Mile River.

The trek begins at 7 a.m. at Minnehonk Lake in Mount Vernon. The route continues down Hopkins Pond, Hopkins Stream, Taylor Pond, Echo Lake and its Mill Pond, Lovejoy Pond, Jennings Stream, Pickerel Pond, and Pocasset Lake, arriving in Wayne at about 3 p.m.

The trip is split into four parts and some parts of the journey require participants to portage their boat. All ages and skill levels are welcome. Registration costs $25 for adults, $15 for children age 13-18 and is free for children 12 and younger. For more information, visit www.30mileriver.org.
