AUGUSTA — A barbecue fundraiser for the UMA Community Garden community will be held 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the University of Maine at Augusta quadrangle.

The garden supplies food to the local food bank. The barbeque costs $5, which includes a hot dog or hamburger, a drink and a side dish.

The rain date is Thursday.

Last year, the UMA Community Garden harvested 1,253 pounds of fresh vegetables for the food bank.
