‘Dig’ into Reading’ kicks off Tuesday

PALERMO — “Dig into Reading” will kick off summer events Tuesday and Wednesday at Palermo Community Library. “Dig into Reading” is a statewide program for young readers up to second grade. Stories and activities will be held twice a week, including Bedtime Story Hour every other week on Thursdays at 7 p.m. Children may come in PJs with a pillow and a stuffy.

Winslow High’s class of 1983 plans reunion

WINSLOW — Winslow High School’s class of 1983 will celebrate its 30th class reunion from 7 to 11 p.m. July 26 at the Waterville Elks Lodge. Organizers have invited all classmates and several faculty members to the casual event.

Family Caregiver Support Group to meet

PITTSFIELD — Spectrum Generations Family Caregiver Education and Support Group will not be meet in July but will meet from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Aug. 1 at Sebasticook Valley Health Conference Room, 130 Leighton St. This meeting provides a confidential setting for those family members, friends and neighbors who are, or have been caring for someone.

Ron Paquette Riverfest 5K set

SKOWHEGAN — Ron Paquette Riverfest 5K is set for Aug. 4. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m., the race starts at 9 a.m., at the Farmers’ Market site. The cost is $10 to pre-register before July 15, or $12 on race day.
