SKOWHEGAN — The Somerset County Teen Pregnancy Prevention Program recently received grants from the Maine Community Foundation and the Hudson Foundation to create a website providing access to the educational materials developed during the eight years, 2006 to 2013, the program operated.

Labbe earns academic honors
WORCESTER, Mass. — Tricia M. Labbe, of Waterville, has been named to first honors on the Clark University 2013 spring semester dean’s list.
Franklin Savings Bank Foundation grants $33,000 in local scholarships
FARMINGTON — Franklin Savings Bank’s Community Development Foundation has awarded $33,000 college scholarships to 11 local students. The scholarships are $3,000 each. The bank awards the scholarships per year to students from 10 local schools, according to a Franklin Savings Bank press release.
White earns bachelor’s degree
DULUTH, Minn. — Teraysa White, of Fairfield, recently graduated from The College of St. Scholastica. White was awarded a bachelor of arts in natural sciences.
Winslow’s Parrilli named to dean’s list
PORTLAND — Christine Parrilli, of Winslow, was named to the 2013 spring semester dean’s list at The University of Southern Maine with a 3.7 grade-point average. She is majoring in nursing. Parrilli was also a member of the USM women’s indoor track and field team.
Barrels Market Co-op to launch a party
WATERVILLE — Barrels Market will host a celebration from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at 74 Main St. There will be free food, live music and activities in the store and in the park.
Waterville’s Francoeur graduates from RIT
ROCHESTER, N.Y, — Stacey Francoeur, of Waterville, graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with a bachelor of science degree in information security and forensics from RIT’s B. Thomas Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences in the 2013 spring quarter.
