WINTHROP — A Monmouth man was injured Saturday when his motorcycle crashed into a car on Main Street.
Joseph Stumpf, 75, was taken by ambulance with neck and chest pain and an arm injury, said Winthrop Police Officer Paul Ferland.
Stumpf was riding a 1986 Harley Davidson motorcycle east on Main Street just before 7:30 p.m., when a 2009 Subaru being driven by 62-year-old Charles Reed of Monmouth pulled out of the Hannaford supermarket parking lot and into the path of the Harley. The motorcycle hit the car, throwing Stumpf off.
There were no charges as of Monday, Ferland said. The crash remains under investigation.
