AUGUSTA — After weeks of collecting and organizing boxes of food donations offered by parishioners, families and businesses, eighth-graders at St. Michael Catholic School joined representatives from the Salvation Army recently to distribute 150 Thanksgiving baskets to community members and families in need, according to a press release from Dave Guthro, communications director of the Roman Catholic on Portland. Each basket contained all the fixings for a traditional Thanksgiving meal.
