Pianist Andy Kahn, of Philadelphia, returns for his annual solo piano concert to benefit the Wilhelm Reich Infant Trust at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, July 18, in the conference center at Orgonon on Dodge Pond Road in Rangeley, according to a news release from the museum.

Kahn is committed to preserving “The Great American Songbook.” The pianist’s “Music by Intention” concerts are the result of decades he has spent researching popular standard songs which evolved into Swing and Jazz, America’s enduring contribution to the arts. Kahn guides his audiences on a musical romp through the historic Golden Age of American music by Cole Porter, George Gershwin, Irving Berlin, Jerome Kern, Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart, Harry Warren, Johnny Mercer and others from this unique musical era. With Be-Bop and Mainstream Jazz taking cues from these timeless songs, the pianist also lends his personal improvisations to a selection of well-known jazz tunes.

Tickets cost $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and younger. Tickets are available at the museum’s office and bookstore at Orgonon, and at the Rangeley Lakes Region Chamber of Commerce in town.
