The Cary Memorial Library’s traditional silent auction will begin with an opening reception from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 30, at the Williams House, Old Winthrop Road, and will continue through Saturday, Aug. 8, with bids closing at noon. Included will be many estate items as well as donated items contributed by the library community. On display will be china, glassware, handcrafted items including jewelry and baskets, fine needlework, framed art and photography and more. Donations can be dropped off at the library prior to Tuesday, July 28.
