Indie electronica artist Michael Angelakos, better known as Passion Pit, has contracted bronchitis and pneumonia, forcing him to cancel a performance scheduled for Wednesday night at Portland outdoor venue Thompson’s Point, the venue said Tuesday on its Facebook page.

The show has been rescheduled for Sept. 15 at the State Theatre in Portland, it said. A second show scheduled for Thursday night at The Lawn on D in Boston has been moved to Sept. 16.

Ticketholders who cannot attend the Sept. 15 performance can request a refund wherever their tickets were purchased, the venue said.

It’s the second change-up of the summer for Thompson’s Point, which has yet to host its first concert. It had to move indie pop singer Ingrid Michaelson’s June 28 show to the State Theatre because the weather forecast for that evening included gusty winds up to 35 mph.
