Conservation Alliance Youth Conservation Corps Director Nathan Durant leads a group of participants to the edge of North Pond’s shore during a recent workshop. A grant awarded to the North Pond Association from New England Grassroots Environmental Fund was designed to educate, inform and provide free buffer materials including buffer plants, erosion control mulch, stones and more to workshop participants after a visit from YCC or NPA directors to help determine steps to take for their property to become more lake friendly.
