PALMYRA — Palmyra Select persons recently presented its Boston Post Cane to Ethel Florence Byram Taylor who will be 103 years old on March 6. Taylor was born in 1913 in St Leonard, New Brunswick, Canada to Alfred Coombs Byram and Annie Diamond. She married Turney Sylvester Taylor and they raised seven children in Palmyra.
The couple ran a small farm with 50 head of cattle and grew crops for the Baxter Canning Company in Hartland.
The Palmyra Historical Society presented Taylor with a genealogical history of her family the Byram’s back to 1506 to Winwick, Cheshire England.
