Boy Scout Camp Bomazeen on Great Pond in Belgrade recently received a matching grant of $15,000 to upgrade the electrical system, to make improvements needed at the health lodge from the Douglas and Rita Sukeforth Family Foundation, according to a news release from Bomazeen Old Timers’s Scott Adams.
Improvements will include updates to the boys shower facilities and to built a 16-foot by 76-foot pavilion with a 16-foot by 16-foot area for program and hazard weather protection.
Camp Bomazeen of Pine Tree Council has been serving Boy Scouts for more than 70 years, according to the release. In 2015 the Douglas and Rita Sukeforth Family Foundation contributed a matching grant of $10,000 which was used for adding three staff cabins and other facility improvements.
