AUGUSTA — Wendy Thompson of Westport Educational Consulting, will present an information session on the college admissions process at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14, at Lithgow Library’s Community Room, 45 Winthrop St.
High school students and their parents are invited to a free, informative, interactive and entertaining presentation to help families understand the role essays, interviews, extracurricular activities, sports and other factors play in the admissions decisions colleges make.
Thompson served on the admissions staff at Bowdoin College from 2000-12, where she evaluated thousands of applications. She conducts college planning workshops and has helped students navigate the college search and selection process since 2003.
