Former Vice President Mike Pence’s recent statement (Feb. 5) regarding his lack of the authority to single-handedly overturn the 2020 election for president may seem shocking and controversial to some.

I view it as a responsible adult explaining to their 2-year-old why they can’t take another child’s toy home with them to keep. Kind and patient but very firm and very clear.

Thank you, Mr. Pence. Will all the other adult Republicans please stand up.
