AUGUSTA — The Kennebec Valley Chamber of Commerce’s monthly Business After Hours is scheduled to be hosted by The Shop CrossFit from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23, at its gym at 56 Western Ave., Suite 4.
The event is free and open to chamber members and guests.
Beth and Shawn Cyr started the shop in the summer 2020. What began as a home gym turned into the weekend workout spot for their extensive group of CrossFit-loving friends, according to a news release from the chamber.
After a year, the Cyrs decided to pursue their dream of owning a CrossFit gym. The owners and the rest of the staff welcome everyone.
The chamber organizes free monthly networking receptions for members on the fourth Wednesday of the month by pairing with host businesses. Every Business After Hours is an opportunity to network, win door prizes, and take part in the 50/50 raffle. Hors d’oeuvres and refreshments will be available.
