UNITY — A display of the work of Monroe artist Lyndsey Marston is scheduled to be shown from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday during April at Unity Public Library, 38 School St.
A public opening reception is set for 6:30 p.m. Friday, April 7, at the library.
Marston is a native Maine artist whose art style features bold line work and pops of color drawn with markers and colored pencils. Her favorite subjects are flowers, vegetables or animals (wild and domesticated), and she takes inspiration from her wanderings in Maine and beyond, according to a news release from the library.
She sells her artwork under the name 3 Legged Dog Ink at art festivals across Maine as well as online and in select stores.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
