We can help each other. I read where a woman is struggling to pay her monthly bills and has to pay $800 per month for part-time child care. There must be some retired senior citizens in the same situation who are living on a fixed income. If they are able to take care of a child on a weekly basis, why not do it? This would increase their income if they charged just $400 per month, which in turn would decrease the cost to others. They may even consider taking care of two children.

Maybe the Community Action Program or AARP could coordinate such a program. It could be a win-win situation for all concerned.
