A six-run first inning was enough for the Portland Sea Dogs in a 6-2 Eastern League victory Friday night over the Hartford Yard Goats in Hartford, Connecticut.
After two walks and a hit batter to start the game, Miguel Bleis put the Sea Dogs in front with a two-run single. Another run scored on a groundout by Ronaldo Hernandez, then Tyler Miller, Karson Simas and Ahbram Liendo each added an RBI single.
Hayden Mullins was the winning pitcher, allowing three hits and one runs in 5 1/3 innings. He struck out six and walked two.
