Portland Hearts of Pine defenders Nathan Messer and Kemali Green were named to the USL League One Team of the Week for their efforts in Saturday’s 1-1 draw against league-leader Chattanooga Red Wolves.

Green scored his first professional goal to tie the game, heading home a cross from Messer. Green’s goal was also the first time Portland had scored off a corner-kick play and its first header goal.

This is the fourth time Messer has been honored by the league and the first award for Green.
