The Maine men’s basketball team pulled away in the second half to beat Binghamton, 79-63, in an America East men’s basketball game on Saturday in Orono.
The Black Bears (5-17, 3-4 America East), who won back-to-back games for the first time this season, scored 42 points in the second half to turn a one-point halftime lead into a 16-point victory.
Logan Carey scored 19 points to lead the Black Bears. Ryan Mabrey added 18 points, Mekhi Gray 15, Amare Allen 12 and Newport native Ace Flagg finished with 11 points, five rebounds and four assists.
Jackson Benigni scored 13 points for Binghamton (4-18, 0-7).
