Well known to police, Tucker, of Anson, is charged with several burglaries and thefts from 2014 to last November when he crashed his car in a police chase.

The department joins other area towns in outfitting patrol officers with cameras, and Police Chief Shawn O’Leary said the costs are worth it, both for officers and the public.

The man was caught on the homeowner’s security camera, police said.

Jason A. Tuttle, 39, alleged to have punched his dog in the head and knocked down a 3-year-old in August, is one of several indicted in Somerset County last week.

Anna LaRochelle, 26, of Anson, and Jamie Ouellette, 38, of Wilton, pleaded guilty last week to felony sex crimes stemming from allegations that they, along with Ouellette’s wife, molested a child under the age of 14 and forced the child to watch them have sex.

Robert W. Card, 32, was arrested on a warrant from Maine State Police over the weekend and has pleaded not guilty to the charges against him.
