Somerset County Superior Courthouse in Skowhegan to get $45 million replacement
The Superior Courthouse is to be replaced with a three-story, 30,000-square-foot addition to the District Courthouse across the street, which the Maine Judicial Branch says is necessary to upgrade the facility built in 1873 and increase efficiency.

A busy spring of improvements is planned for Skowhegan area’s Lake George Regional Park
Plans for the park on the Skowhegan-Canaan line include building a road with parking on the west side of the park, turning a former social hall into an event venue and outdoor recreation base camp and renovating five aging cabins on the lake.
