HALLOWELL — The fifth annual Riverfront Festival and Hallowellness day will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, July 1 on Hallowell’s Riverfront, Water St. The event is a celebration of a healthy, active and creative life along the banks of the Kennebec River.

Art talk and exhibitto benefit Belgrade center

BELGRADE LAKES — Waterville artist Matthew Russ will be featured in an exhibit and artist’s talk to benefit the Maine Lakes Resource Center on Main Street. The art will be on exhibit July 1-22 at the center, the talk and reception will begin at 4 p.m. Sunday, July 8.

Wind Ensemble concert June 29

OAKLAND — The Acadia Wind Ensemble will present a summer concert at 7 p.m. Friday, June 29, in the Messalonskee Performing Arts Center. The Acadia Wind Ensemble is a band consisting of music educators from across Maine. The group meets once a year to perform advanced repertoire for the band medium. The concert is free of charge, but donations are welcome.

Saltwater Celtic Music Festival set for July 14-15

BRUNSWICK — The Saltwater Celtic Music Festival will be Saturday and Sunday, July 14-15, at Thomas Point Beach. Gates open at 1 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. Sunday for the approximately six-hour-long show. Saltwater is a rain-or-shine event and tickets are non-returnable/non-refundable. Live performer roster and times are subject to change, but rarely do. Children younger than 12, accompanied by an adult, are admitted for free. Tickets are available online at saltwaterfest.com, at all Bull Moose Music and Cool As A Moose locations, and at other leading retailers around Maine.
