ALBION — As the snow fell softly outside like a winter wonderland, Blessed Hope Advent Christian Church in Waterville was the December 29, 2012, setting uniting Beth Ellen Corey and Sean William Leary in holy matrimony. Officiating at the ceremony was Pastor Brent Small from Faith Evangelical Free Church. Music for their ceremony was provided by Dawn Powers, pianist; Shel Sherman flutist; and soloist Erin Corey, cousin of the bride. Jessica Bucklin, cousin of the bride, provided a reading from the New Testament book of Ephesians.

When going gets tough, he starts to lie

Dear Annie: I have been in love with “Cliff” for four years. We bought a home together two years ago, but soon after, he became unemployed, angry and spiteful. I tried to tough it out, believing it would eventually get better, but when Cliff became verbally abusive, I took my two kids and left. I asked him if he wanted me to stay, and he said no, he didn’t think things would improve.
