RANDOLPH — Maine Isshinryu Karate Academies, 131 Kinderhook St., will offer personal protection classes for women on Fridays and Saturdays through June.

Classes will focus on personal defense and Internet safety. Mothers and their daughters 13 and older are especially encouraged to attend.

Registration costs $20. For every teenager that attends, the registration fee will be donated to the family of Nichole Cable, a 15-year-old Orono girl who was murdered earlier this month.

Friday classes will begin at 6 p.m. and Saturday classes start at 10 a.m. Space is limited and sign up is required. For more information, call 582-6365.
