A Waterville woman was issued a summons to answer a criminal charge of operating under the influence following an investigation of an abandoned car wreck in early September.

Deputy Chief Charles Rumsey, of the Waterville Police Department, said Natasha Guessregen was summoned Tuesday after Officer Kyle McDonald received a blood test result that showed she had been intoxicated the night of the accident.

She is due to appear Nov. 18 in Waterville District Court.

The accident during which Guessregen was allegedly driving intoxicated was reported Sept. 4 on County Road.

Police found a car flipped onto its roof in a ditch, and alcohol containers and blood also were found at the scene.

After searching the area, Guessregen, 26, and Dylan McManara, 23, of Belgrade, were found in a nearby yard, showing signs of alcohol consumption and suffering from minor injuries. McManara was believed to have been a passenger and Guessregen was believed to have been driving, Rumsey said at the time.

McManara was summoned on a charge of violating a condition of release because his release conditions forbid him to consume alcohol, which he is alleged to have done.
