STONINGTON — Halloween events are planned for Stonington Saturday, Oct. 31.
Events will begin at 9 a.m. at the Island Community Center with registration for this year’s Halloween Fun Run, featuring prizes for the best costumes. The pop-up market will open at 10 a.m. at Odd Fellows Hall on Main Street. Children can trick or treat at downtown businesses and the Rec Board will host pumpkin carving at 11:30 am. at the Rec Center.
Opera House Arts’ will kick off their day at 11 a.m. with snacks, trick or treating, cookie decorating, and other activities in the Opera House. This will be followed with a free screening of the 1995 family classic “Casper,” starring Christina Ricci and Bill Pullman.
In celebration, the Opera House Arts’ team will be decked out in animal onesies.
