FARMINGTON — A warrant or summons may be issued for a man who allegedly started a fight Tuesday night in the parking lot of Jack’s Trading Post but fled before police arrived.
Police have been looking for the man, whose name they have not released, since the fight, which was reported at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. Police Department secretary Bonnie Pomeroy said a warrant for his arrest or a summons probably will be issued if police don’t make contact with him Thursday. He will possibly be charged with assault.
Police were sent to the convenience store on Route 4, the Fairbanks Road, because of a report of two men fighting in the parking lot. When Officer Derrick Doucette arrived, one of the men had left. Neither man was injured in the fight, police said.
The two men involved in the fight knew each other, and the altercation appeared to be carried over from a previous incident involving the pair, Pomeroy said.
