I have watched the Democrats and Republicans who are running for governor of Maine in 2018. I have only one thing to say to them: Make Maine a place people want to live, and it will prosper.

We need more people to come to Maine. You will attract young people with safe, affordable housing, good schools, health care, living wages and help with educational debt and higher education costs.

Maine is a wonderful place to live but it needs to be exceptional to attract the people we need. And we need people from everywhere — people who grew up in Maine but left, people in need of a safe home, people who will invest in the state.

I will be voting for the person who best expresses this ideal.
