I am writing this letter in response to a letter to the editor written in your newspaper dated from Kelly Anderson from St. Albans (“Mother struggles to help 10-year-old son,” April 22).

She states she had contacted the Department of Health and Human Services about her 10-year-old son, who needs help with his medical problems. DHHS had come out once and received no answer from DHHS.

I am now wondering if the state of Maine and DHHS is going to have another death of a child because of the inaction of DHHS. How about this Gov. LePage, are you doing anything? Probably not, as you veto funds for child protection programs. Does he realize that he could be responsible for another death of a child? I hope Kelly has received the help she needs.
