A motorcycle ride fundraiser is scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 21, at Poulin-Turner Union Hall on 53 Waterville Road in Skowhegan.

Proceeds will benefit Steve Arsenault of China, and his wife and three young children.

On June 17, Arsenault, 37, was able to receive the heart transplant he so desperately needed. He is recovering at home but needs support as he continues to recover with his family. He is employed as an PM-2 Refiner Tender by SAPPI Fine Paper, according to a news release from co-host Jamie Bryant, Steven’s coworker.

Bryant, together with Skowhegan-Madison Elks No. 2531, are trying to raise some money to help support them while he is out of work.

The KSU, “Kick Stands Up,” will begin at 10 a.m. at the hall. The ride through Central Maine will end with a meal and raffles at the Skowhegan-Madison Elks Lodge on Silver Street in Skowhegan.

For more information, contact Bryant at or 207-578-4623.
