I am writing in support of Shenna Bellows’ decision not to have the former president on the ballot (“Maine secretary of state bars Donald Trump from state’s presidential primary ballot,” Dec. 28). It has been proven time and time again that laws have been broken, repeatedly, from insurrection to actual badgering and threatening and ordering others to harass election workers, taking classified sensitive information and sharing it, name calling, lying, and now outlines his plan for full on authoritarian rule. That is the short list.

Rep. Jared Golden and the always partisan Sen. Susan Collins unfortunately are giving him yet another bye. Others are in prison for much less. Others are in prison for the same thing. If another party did even a fraction of this the fake outrage would be massive and that person would be in jail. The excuses and twisting of facts is embarrassing.
