WEST FORKS — A 62-year-old man died Sunday night in a crash with a tractor-trailer on U.S. Route 201 in West Forks, according to the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office.

Todd Bouchard of Madison was northbound in a Ford F-150 pickup truck when he crossed the centerline and collided with a southbound tractor-trailer, Chief Deputy Mike Mitchell said Monday.
Bouchard was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Mitchell.
The crash, which was reported at 7:48 p.m., closed the highway for nearly five hours, Mitchell said. It occurred near the West Forks Maine Department of Transportation lot.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was identified as Marc-Andre Lehoux, 43, of Quebec. The tractor-trailer is registered to Domi Express Inc. in St. Georges, Quebec, and was hauling paper products.
Lehoux was not injured, Mitchell said.
Both drivers were believed to be wearing seat belts, Mitchell said.
The Somerset County Sheriff’s Office said the cause of the crash was still under investigation Monday afternoon. Deputy Marcus Ramirez is the primary investigator, and Sgt. Ritchie Putnam and Deputy William Crawford IV also responded to the crash.
The Sheriff’s Office said it was assisted at the scene by the Maine State Police and the West Forks and Bingham fire departments.
