Junk-food debate unveils dumbed-down electorate
I'm solidly on board with the bill sponsored by Sen. Roger Katz restricting certain junk foods from purchase using food stamps. A Portland recipient objects, lamenting parents not being allowed to buy their children a candy bar or lollipop "now and then." The problem is now and then -- throughout the day.

Children not adversely affected by working moms

Maine doesn’t need new type of dental provider
I am writing today regarding a bill pending in the Maine Legislature that would create a new level of dental provider. L.D. 1230 is not the right solution for Maine.
