The Waterville arts organization’s new space at The Center hosts its first exhibit beginning Wednesday, a celebration of 70 years of the Madison artists’ retreat’s influence on the art world and Maine.

Activities continue for the next four days, including Moonlight Madness, raft rides and a fireworks display at the Great Eddy of the Kennebec River.

The annual celebration of the area’s culinary delights, in its 24th year, also includes music, vendors, art and children’s activities.

The festival, in its 44th year, showcased music mentoring for children, old-fashioned foot stomping and hospitality on the Littlefield farm.
