Vote against Obamacare shows Collins not with us
Our Sen. Susan Collins voted with other Republicans against funding the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare). The majority of the Senate approved funding for Obamacare and funding the government until Nov. 15. The vote was 54-44.

Common Ground Fair left big carbon footprint
My perspective on the Common Ground Fair was that of a 4-mile long procession of barely creeping, idling vehicles, a procession that lasted most of the day. Talk about a carbon footprint!

Legal hunting should not be unfair, inhumane
To some degree, I can accept legal hunting as a means for wildlife population control. But I cannot accept hunting as a sport for trophies. Nor can I accept unfair or inhumane hunting, no matter how long it's been done.

Good to read article about Skowhegan Indian work
I appreciate the Sept. 11 Morning Sentinel article about the restoration of the famed Indian sculpture by Bernard Langlais, who once attended Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture.
