Skowhegan man remains ‘stable’ with multiple stab wounds to chest
Skowhegan police Chief David Bucknam said a 17-year-old was charged Sunday with elevated aggravated assault in the stabbing, which occurred at the 29-year-old victim’s home on Pine Street.

Purple Heart-decorated Afghanistan, Iraq vet to be Skowhegan Memorial Day parade grand marshal
During a 16-month deployment in Iraq, Derek DeFelice, 34, was struck 28 times by roadside bombs and was awarded the Purple Heart. In September 2018 he bought Angelo’s Pizzeria and has re-branded it Hero’s House of Pizza.
