Hallowell Pride Alliance proudly endorses Maureen AuCoin for mayor of Hallowell. Friendly, persistent, and forward-thinking, she has been a much needed advocate in our community. As a city councilor, AuCoin ensures our constituents are heard, and works towards real, tangible solutions. She is a staunch advocate for addressing housing, food and financial needs, mental health issues, racial disparities and LGBTQ+ equality. And she has earnestly listened to the frustrations of young Mainers during a time where we feel like our home is leaving us behind.
I have known and worked with AuCoin for several years, and have always greatly appreciated her appraisal, encouragement, and voice. She doesn’t hesitate to challenge what she doesn’t think is right and advocates for what she thinks is.
