Ward 2 voters in Augusta have two choices for school board. They can vote for Aaron Kregenow, currently working for the Maine House Republicans and previously employed by the RNC and Maine Trump Victory. He favors the phrase “parents’ rights.” It generally denotes a vocal minority making decisions for all students, not just their own children. Kregenow is also the treasurer for Faulkingham’s We the People PAC, fined 4 times since January 2022 because of his late or absent filings.

Or they can join me in voting for Susan Parks, who has decades of experience in education. She believes in safe schools with mental health supports to help students thrive. Susan promises to listen and respond to the needs of every child, including those who are ESL learners or have disabilities. She will be firmly focused on our kids, and ensure they are academically and socially prepared for post-graduation life.
